Christoph is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of St. Gallen in International Relations. He conducts research on the UN human rights complaints mechanisms and voting behavior in the UN Human Rights Council. In his doctoral research at the University of Mannheim, Christoph conducted an empirical and conceptual study of political imprisonment. He holds a Master's degree from the University of Oxford and he studied for one semester at the Trinity College in Dublin. In addition to his academic work, he has gained practical experience at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, the German Institute for Development Evaluation in Bonn, and the German Institute for Global Area Studies in Hamburg. Christoph is fluent in Spanish and enjoys climbing, hiking and cross-country skiing in the Swiss Alps.
